The workers showed up bright and early today. They ripped out the sod along the side of the house. This area will be filled with peastone because it was a real pain to cut the grass in this narrow, sloped ground.
They started filling in the dog kennel with crushed rock.
Out front, they started working on extending the front landing. It was too narrow if you were standing on the landing and opened the screen door. You'd have to step sideways or backwards off the step to let the door swing open. There will be more room now.
About noon, a thunderstorm swept in and that was it for the rest of the day. When they left, they remembered to put orange pylons around the gravel on the road for safety.
