Yet another hot day in the mid 30's, although cooler than yesterday and not as humid. The crew put in a full day from 7 AM until sometime after 3:30 PM when we left the house.

Quite a bit of progress today. They have a week left and I don't see how it can all get done in time, but wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised.

I arranged for an electrician to come out next Monday and estimate installing power for the greenhouse, shed, doghouse and the new front yard light.

Work continued on the front. They futzed with cutting all the bricks to fill in the gaps. They also started work on the top step.
Side Around the side of the house the grass was removed (earlier) and some of the river stone was moved from the other side of the house to here.

On the other side, which is our main access to the back, we found that pushing a lawn mower through this stuff is tough because it just digs in and makes ruts. So we'll have some patio stones laid as a path with just a decorative border on each side. So we can reuse some of the stone here.

This is the back for the dog kennel. They did more of the pressure treated work and filled in with crushed stone.

A couple more sonotubes were installed for the gate posts. This fencing will not be done in time though because there's an apparent shortage of galvanized posts in Ottawa, as strange as that sounds. I guess everyone is doing fencing this year for some reason.

The patio stones were started today as well.

All this because Arlene wants outdoor dogs. I'm starting to like stuffed animals more and more.
